Popcorn Cardi – Red

Popcorn Cardi – Red is a yarn set for Midori Hirose’s latest design, a cardigan in the shape of a blouson. With its voluminous look and distinctive cuffs, the fresh, sassy design has already attracted a lot of attention at some yarn festivals. We are very excited to finally present our yarn sets to you!

This cardigan features a highly textured popcorn pattern that resembles bobbles. It is made with two colors of our Finnwool. Midori chose the bright red color (Finnwool – Paprika) as the main color and the colorful speckled yarn (Finnwool – Prism) as the contrast color for popcorn and combined them.

The cardigan is worked from the top down, from the collar toward the bottom hem and cuffs, seamlessly. The sample cardigan has a slightly cropped body, but feel free to adjust the body and sleeve lengths to your preference, trying it on while knitting. The buttonholes are made “afterthought”, after you have finished knitting the front bands. You can thus choose the perfect buttons and decide the number of buttonholes.
